Hi, I'm on latest stable version of opera. Have been using since it first came out.

Anyhow, opera starting a day ago now stopped filling in passwords, I have about 20 I use withoin each week and about 8 per day or more. It asks me if I want to save them, and then when I go to settings it tells me there are none. So, it has deleted all my passwords.

Are they gone forever? Does anyone know how to fix this?

      I can edit files etc.

      OSX 10.11.1

Even the resize corner on this edit field I am typing in does not work properly, it only resized horizontally. That's on operas site, using opera.

So, literally nobody can tell me a file to replace from time machine or something so I don't lose all my other data/settings?

My how times have changed. Opera used to be the favourite of the more technical user. What happened? Functionality homogenisation beckoned?

Passwords are stored in 'Login Data'.

So, the file is packed with the passwords...

But opera neither sees them nor stores new ones.

Ill rename and try forcing opera to create a new one.

                OK, new file created.

Site logic page, enter PW, Login Data file modification date remains same...

After two attempts, it logs me in. Click to save PW.

Page reported that cookies are off and YET they are set to store locally in prefs.

                Prefs report NO passwords.

A mess. Getting close to unusable.

Did you try with a clean profile? Yours is probably broken.

Wow, so opera can break a 9 month old install that's just used for basic browsing?

Let me guess, I can't just click a "create profile" button so I can experiment concurrently and make sure I don't lose anything, right?

There are lots of nice hoops to jump through?

Not necessarily Opera. It can be caused by OS and/or hardware issues.

                      Right.

Sorry, don't know how to do it on Mac OS. on Windows you just need to rename the profile folder.
