Opera will not save any passwords

I replaced MacBook pro and could not use a TimeMachine backup to replace. I copied over /Users/****/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera file to the new machine after installation of new Opera. All worked ok, but passwords didn't make it. At the same time, no new passwords will save. Opera prefs have appropriate checkboxes checked. I tried to locate a password file to delete or replace, but cannot locate one. Keychain access has Opera approved for Opera settings. Mac OS 10.12.6 Opera 47.0. Any ideas?

Thanks. I tried deleting the app and wanted to keep the data, but I might have to lose that and start my usernames and passwords from scratch.

On the other platforms the only way to transfer passwords is Sync. Passwords are encrypted to the user account (not the name) and the operating systems never saw fit to create a way to transfer accounts to a new machine. Delete the various Login files and you'll be able to save passwords again (and still keep bookmarks and sessions).
