Opera Not Fully Shutting Down And MailTo

good day i've noticed that opera does not fully shutdown when i click the x. i know cause when i relaunch opera i'm and go to certain sites i'm still logged in and i'm still logged into lastpass. i've checked taskmanager and i'm not finding anything related to opera still running after i close it. any ideas and or suggestions?
now for mailto is there any extension that will open my installed copy of outlook when i rightclick a page to send via email?

Many sites will not log you off until you do so, this has nothing to do with the browser being fully closed or not.
now for mailto is there any extension that will open my installed copy of outlook when i rightclick a page to send via email?

That's not because Opera is still running but because some websites leave cookies behind which allow you to automatically log on the moment you revisit them. Same probably applies to lastpass (though I don't have hands on experience with that myself).
A good way to check this for yourself is to open a private window (control-shift-n) and then re-visit those website(s) again. You'll see that you're no longer logged on.

as far as cookies / closing opera i found a solution i can live with call history eraser.
as for mailto i've already been to opera addons site and i tried a couple but neither did what they said they'd do.

like that is really going to clear the cookies. most sites that say the data is cleared on logoff are lying.

There are two elements involved, login sessions and cookies. Most sites use cookies placed on the user's computer to maintain a user's log-in data and duration during the logged in session, sometimes including an automatic log-out expiry within the cookies. There may also be corresponding tokens placed on the site server. However, logging out from a site may only break the server's logged in session connection but leave the associated cookies intact on your system, whence revisiting the site 'automatically' re-establishes the logged in session. Whether or to what extent the site's cookies are removed upon logging out depends on how the site server chooses or is able to manipulate the cookies upon logging out.
In any case, if you personally clear the site's cookies from your system, you will then be both logged out and privacy will be preserved, in the sense that revisiting the site will require an entirely new log in. Any kind of software mechanism, including manual, that you use to remove a site's cookies should also break its log-in.
When a site says 'data is cleared' upon logoff, it may be referring to whatever transaction and functional data has been stored in their server during your logged in session, rather than what has been placed on your system. So they're not necessarily lying, depending on what they actually say and mean.

Your username apparently says it all. Hyperbole means exaggeration. I was simply offering a neutral, factual explanation of what is typically going on with log-ins, cookies, and site servers so that you might better understand things. If that information somehow offends you, that was certainly never my intention. And, by the way, I'm not your "dude".

My Opera for Windows takes, on average, 30 seconds to shut down. It may be logging me out on some websites, I don't know.
