The point is; why should we mess around with (super) advanced settings, when ALL the other browsers display site and font mentioned above nicely?
Feels more like Opera should change something default.
It’s not a font issue. It’s an Opera Browser issue.

Hi-
You might want to check out: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/font size?_category=extensions and https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/

If you’re standing on a nail, you don’t take painkillers and keep standing on the nail.
You remove your foot from the nail.
Adding extensions or tweaking experimental features to resolve basic functionality is a pill fix, a non-FDA approved one.

Hello,
I tried the various options leocg proposed, and none solved the problem. It made it even worse, so I guess the default options are not that bad

But I'm sure there was no problem with that in previous Opera version. I didn't notice that using earlier Opera, there was no problem with that All starting to mess with latest version, which in my opinion broke more than improve.

Same problem here. I've uploaded a .png showing a screengrab of text from Opera and Vivaldi. The Opera characters look terrible.

Fixed, thank you Opera!
Site mentioned as example above looks perfect after today's stable update.
I also love the small elegant tweaks on design elements in browser and the longer closed tabs list.
