Should be written as [LINKTEXT](URL "Hover Title")
like this:

The existing Unicode "emoji" shouldn't be an issue anywhere that supports Unicode ... if you like to cut and paste. (Side note, I saw that they approved a new update to Unicode that will have even more emoji - among other things - last week or thereabouts. Naturally it will take a while for the OS and/or software and of course fonts to support this update.)
