Can I change the search engine from Google to another one on the Start Page?

Nope, you can't.

You can hide it if you want, jus go to Start Page settings.

You have to go to:
SpeedDial > Options (upper right) > Search box

On the Start Page, there's a tool tip for the symbol at the upper right that says "Customize start page".

Is that what you mean?
