How to fix this?

Go to Opera.com and download from the website.
Hopefully should fix any installation problem, you should wait until next update.

Before that message appeared, the update downloading progress had reached 100%, but it couldn't install. (There was no "Relauch" button)

Then I tried to restart it manually by closing it and run it again, in a hope that Opera would install this time. But, when I visited opera://about/, Opera couldn't upgrade and showed that message.

Of course, it would correct the problem.

But, the question, is why does Opera's update feature sometimes fail to do its job?

This is the second time the message shows.

I have that too .

And if the dowbload stuck at 100 .

I just wait 5m . And then the relanch button came out

Whatever reason...
Just think about any recent change like unwanted software autoinstalled, malware problems, back in time with a restore point, system messed...

The most probably to be considered is the health of the system.

The @Alr116 option could be tested if happens again.
