WhatsApp sidebar opens automatically after starting

I love the new sidebar, but I have the strange thing that either the Messenger or WhatsApp opens everytime I start the browser.

How can I change that?
I remember it was not like that in the beginning.

You can use them unpinned, just click on their icons.
