        What about this one?
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK88y59llWc

For me it doesn't play. I tried to refresh de page 10 times. One time, it suddenly switched to Flash and was playing. I reload the page and it didn't play anything again.

Really annoying since I would say about 70% of the cases, that errors happens when going on the video pay. When reloading, half of them suddenly plays, and the rest simply fails.

i had issues with my opera browser on my mac. but i just fixed them simply by opening opera://gpu then at the very top "Graphics Feature Status" i used to have "Rasterization" and "Video Decode" in "Software only. Hardware acceleration disabled" mode, which caused many problems with Youtube html5 player as well as several other problems.

The solution is to go to opera://flags and in search bar type the specific category of "Graphics Feature Status" (in my case "Rasterization" for example). Since this is to do with GPU, i enabled "GPU rasterization" and right away under "Graphics Feature Status" , in opera://gpu, next to "Rasterization" appeared a green "Hardware accelerated" sign.

I did the same with "Video Encode". Literally the same and now i DON'T have to wait couple of hours to see an uploaded video in Youtube in html5, I can watch Youtube streams (also html5). I am not so much into twitter or vine, but i think this fixed ALL my video playback issues in opera. You are Welcome.

Did the above suggestion and it seemed to work for about 10 minutes. Now it's back to having a meltdown on most videos I play, won't play mp3 streams, freezes all the time on facebook. What is going on?? Opera used to be better than Chrome etc in my opinion but it's falling apart. Will give it a month, but if the issues aren't fixed, got to commit to something else because it is pretty impractical having to use different browsers just to play media because Opera can't

I usually dont have issues playing youtube on opera. You will always run into technical issues from time to time but opera is one of the best out there. It is the top tree in the forest of web browsers.

I have the same problem of colleagues on some sites is even in the Youtube video is not open at all, when the message was an error try again. I auditioned with Opera Developer 42 and that was solved this problem with videos.

I hope that the company makes available a faster update possible because it is affecting the use of the browser which by the way is very good taking this problem.

                        Check the @Oskarspiano workaround

The solution is to go to and in search bar type the specific category of "Graphics Feature Status" (in my case "Rasterization" for example). Since this is to do with GPU, i enabled "GPU rasterization" and right away under "Graphics Feature Status" , in , next to "Rasterization" appeared a green "Hardware accelerated" sign.

If doesn't work, try to test with a clean profile:

OMenu > About Opera > Paths >> Profile

Close Opera, and go the path using finder and rename the folder.

Open Opera and check the problematic websites.

Dependig on the results could be a problem in the profile.
