I cannot find any settings whatsoever regarding this feature and wish to remove it. It just clutters up my speed dial page.

There seems to be a little cross, that's somewhat hard to see on the bottom right above the actual suggestions

Thank you. It is indeed hard to see, and I just found out you can disable it completely in opera://flags

If you mean the Start Page, Settings>Speed Dial should bring it back, and then use the settings cog to restore what you need on it.
