What are the steps to try to reproduce the issue?

Watch any YouTube video completely or up to a point. Then go to your (YouTube) history. Normally, the little red line below the video thumbnail shows if you watched the video completely or where you stopped it, but with the new Opera update, that red line is always in the beginning, showing that you just started watching the video, no matter if you watched it completely.
Hope I described the issue satisfactory. English isn't my primary language. :awww:

It seems to be happening on Vivaldi here too.

New version 42.0.2393.94 and the issue remains. Please somebody fix that, it's really annoying.

For me the behavior is the same on all browsers so it doesn't seem to be an Opera issue.

No problem with Vivaldi and Edge for me, only with Opera.

I just noticed that in both Edge and Vivaldi, I have Adblock installed, but on Opera I use the native adblocker.
So I tried to disable that and install Adblock extension, and all of a sudden the problem disappeared!
So the problem is somewhere on Opera's adblocker.

Could you check if it happens also with ublock origin?

Disabling the ad-blocker was one of the first things I tried but the result was the same.

Sorry for delaying my answer. Yes, the issue reappeared when I disabled Adblock and installed Ublock Origin (the native adblocker of course was also disabled).

Then this is a (ad-block) list issue and should be fixed by the list authors.

Forget the 3rd party extensions. I'm talking about the native adblocker. With the native adblocker enabled, the problem is there, so it's an Opera issue.
Yes, you can fix it if you disable it and install the "Adblock" extension, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a problem. Don't try to turn a blind eye.

Opera's ad-blocker uses the same list that Ublock uses and that comes from Easylist if I'm not mistaken. So if the problem happens on both it means that the list is broken and should be fixed by its authors.

Opera can't do much to solve the problem.

If you bought a new car and the seatbelt had a malfunction, would you address the car's manufacturer or the seatbelt manufacturer?
                                  The answer is pretty obvious.
It's not really my concern whose list Opera uses. I use Opera's adblocker, not Ublock.
Even if it's Ublock's or Easylist's fault, it's Opera who should work with them and fix it.

It would be more along the lines of a TV station having bad video quality and you going to Sony to complain about it because they made your TV.
