Speed Dial Sync (again)

Q1: is there a faq some where on why/how to keep speed dials in sync (I have 2 laptops, 2 desktops at home, 2 desktops at work, 2 TV's with browsers, 2 tablets, and a phone). Pretty dumb that they can't keep speed dials in sync. What's the problem folks? What am I missing?
Q2: Why do only some speed dial entries get graphic thumbnails? Screen shots of the page, some get logos, and some just words? How do you force it into screen shots?
Q3: is there any way to point speed dial at another folder?

Why? Why would it not just work like any other folder. Is there a technical reason I am unware of?
What is the point of bookmark sync if it wont actually sync bookmarks?

It's a very old discussion but basically most people prefer to have different Speed Dials for home, work, etc.
What is the point of bookmark sync if it wont actually sync bookmarks?
Bookmarks are synced.

I wish we could do a poll on this. I want the same speed dial myself on my devices. Why not just have a flag for sync speed dial yes|no.

I thought it was just a beta/dev bug all this time. We were giving you guys time to fix it.
So then basically there is no valid reason for not having Speed Dials in sync 100% across all devices.
Or is it some dev has a work machine and a home machine and he doesn't want his porn links showing up on speed dial at work. hehe!
Speed dial should be treated as just any other bookmark folder.

Nope, it's by design. There is always a chance that they may change it in the future but this is how it works now.

As already said, the reason id that most people seem to prefer to have different speed dials in different devices and yes, this is a valid reason.

Most probably, such person would like to have more work related entries in his/her work machine and not have those s/he can't access at work. And at home s/he probably would like to not have speed dial entries related to work.
But like I said, this discussion already took place a long time ago.

I recently bought a new phone, and would like the speed dials on the old phone to show up on the new phone because ... I now prefer to browse on my new phone!!!!
It's not a case of a work phone versus a home computer. I do all my browsing on the same phone, whether at home or at work. It seems Opera devs are suggesting I should keep on carrying the old phone around with me, even when it's batteries are now so old and flat they barely last 3 hours, and the Android version is so old it can only run old versions of Opera.

You can go to Suggestion Box and show your support for it there, including your reasons on the request.

Syncing speed dial is the about the ONLY freaking thing I really want to sync. You could easily get rid of everything ('cept maybe passwords) else in sync.
Having lost my speed dials - yet freaking again - because I use 8 different machines a day - this is just absurd not to give users an option to sync speed dial.
Why even bother to sync bookmarks if you wont sync the only freakin set of bookmarks most of us use in a day!?
We actually should be able to set any folder we want as "speed dial".
This is just lazy ass programmers is all this is..
