Search engines + VPN = "This site can’t provide a secure connection"

I have the same problem. Looks like you can't access any https page, which makes the VPN function pretty much useless.

Not working on any site requiring HTTPS (including this forum). I've disabled antivirus, all opera extensions, and tracerouted the LAN/WAN for routing issues. No change.
Seems to me there's little point of a VPN if it can't block Google data mining (which I see as its main benefit).

I suppose you guys (all of you above) do you use 4g LTE modem (mobile modem) connection ??
I contacted my provider which gives me LTE mobile internet and they said like: "its probably because of an ip address is not static (not only you have that address) when you're using mobile internet" or sth like that
so do you use 4g internet ?

waltersulivan, my ip is static. Also other VPN works fine in google chrome. And I am using pc version of opera, so I have nothing to do with 4G, I guess ?

Same issue over here, except the problem isn't specific to the Opera VPN but to all of them I think. I've tried a couple on chrome and none of them seem to work.

Hi, I have the same problem, VPN seems to block all the https sites. The fun is that yesterday it was working great and I haven't changed anything

I've done a bit of research and this is what I found:
Sites aren't being blocked by IPS, I have used Opera with VPN on the other computer at home (in the same network).
I use ESET 9, but even if I turn it off (disable firewall and 'protection'), Opera still doesn't open https sites.
Uninstalling, reinstalling, cleaning, unblocking 3rd party cookies etc doesn't help.
I looked into flags, but I haven't found anything helpful.Anyone, anything? What else can affect the connection?
