I'm noticing the time placed on the latest posts appears considerably off on my computer. My time zone is Pacific Standard Time (US) but I don't see how to enable that in my Profile. Can someone assist me with this? Thanks.

        1. It's for Forum feedback.
        2. There's already one or two topics about it there...

There is no setting, unfortunately. I'm not sure how they do it, but usually it is correct (as in, over half the time). Unfortunately the adjustment for Daylight Savings Time as we call it - "summer time" for much of the world - can be a month off, so the above "usually" doesn't apply year-round.

Okay. So I'm reading your post correctly (that "1/2" time when they got it right), you posted at 2:41 a.m.? Is that correct because that's the time I see above your post.

I would really like to have support for different time zones. It is useful to see when someone posted their post.

AND option to have 24 time format instead of 12 with AM/PM, because I'm really not used to that.

I don't recall the exact time I posted, but the forum is telling me "yesterday" so I'd have to say before midnight (Eastern, which would be before 9 PM Pacific).

This post is 9:11 PM Eastern, or 6:11 your time.

Steve, your post above is showing up on my browser as 1:11 AM. It would appear that something is wrong either with the way in which the forum is time stamping posts or something else. BTW... my browser's clock is correct.

From the index page, Steve's post appears latest...

Well, your post has a "2:11" stamp on it.
And yes, I totally second Gustavwiz in his wishes.

And yet on my screen, my post shows 5:05 PM BUT I posted this post this morning. There is no way the time stamping of our posts is correct.

If my post was at 1:11 PM, then that was GMT (I'm 4 hours behind Greenwich). If you are seeing Greenwich, this post is at 7:02 AM

You last post (7:02 AM) shows here as 3:02AM in the forum listing, so GMT is what the forum seems to be displaying (or UTC or Z, as it's also known). Unfortunately, any posts from previous days have their timestamp changed to a datestamp - and that changeover point also occurs according to the GMT timezone's rendering of the current date.

That is exactly what I am seeing. So, how do I correct it?

This post was sent at 7.10 PM local time here in England, and it's appeared as 6.10 PM, so it does appear indeed to be GMT that the forum is using to timestamp all posts.
We're on British Summer Time at the moment which is one hour ahead of GMT (we use GMT in the winter so my posts will be correct then!)
                                🙂

                                    1. Nobody even uses local time now - it's zones.
                                    2. If you considered local time still, it's closer to GMT anyway: I decipher "BST" as BullShit 'Time' because it can only measure relative time within the range of its application.
                                    3. My previous post showed GMT+2, while according to your testament, your post is shown GMT+1. Kinda peculiar...
Well, I'm not sure: now my post's being shown as GMT+1 too...

We should be able to adjust the time according to our own particular time zones to make the forum more meaningful to us. I'm surprised this has not been made available. I don't know of any other forum where this feature is not easily adjusted to the individual member.
