Installation Issue

I am installing Opera on a Windows XP (SP3) machine.

However, the install program (OperaSetup.exe) does not complete.

I see a small box about a Windows XP installation, and then nothing further happens.

TIA for your advice.

XP is no longer supported. The last version with support for XP and Vista is 36.

As of last spring, the official word from Opera was that XP would continue to be supported.

Lucky me!

The manual offline install link lead me to Opera_36.0.2130.65_Setup.exe.

Looks like I am GTG.

Just for reference, the latest version of Opera 36 is actually 36.0.2130.75, not 65, but I wouldn't worry too much about it!

There is a link for it in my previous comment.

As of last spring, the official word from Opera was that XP would continue to be supported.

Opera 36 will continue to receive security updates, that's what they said.

I have been facing the same problem with updating. I was worry about how I can switch to auto update.
