I have sync enabled but my Speed Dial doesn't sync.

Currently the way Sync works will allow you to access your Speed Dial from other devices/installations (through Bookmarks > Other Speed Dials) but will not populate one SD with another one's entries.

So what's the most simple way to populate one SD with another one's entries? I have a new PC and Sync works fine, I see my old PC's Opera's speed dial, I just want to duplicate it on my new PC as well.

In bookmarks manager, copy/move the entries from Other Speed Dials > Your device name folder to the Speed Dial folder.

Thanks for nothing. I want to transfer speeddial and bookmarks to a new harddrive. How is it done and is there a folder where these things are stored? Please be detailed.

The above response is a bit cryptic, but essentially correct. In version 38, your speed dial entries are contained in the "Bookmarks" file, in the Win7 user's <AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable> folder. Copy it over to the same folder on your new machine. Then run Opera and look in the bookmarks manager (just click on the heart on the start page). Look under "Other Speed Dials" and you'll find a folder with your old machine's name that has all your speed dial entries in it. Click on it and they will all appear in the right pane. Select them all, then drag them to the "Speed Dial" folder.
