Opera for Windows crashed on my desktop while trying to turn on synchronization. I couldn't get it to run again until I re-installed the program (v84.0.4316.31 x64). Now when I try to turn on synchronization to recover bookmarks and passwords, I keep getting a 404 page at auth.opera.com/account/v2/desktop/login. Anybody got any idea what's going on?

RE: Other Speed DialsOpera for Android
Never mind, found it. For some reason its icon on the Start Page had disappeared for a bit, hopefully only temporarily.

Other Speed DialsOpera for Android
After syncing, where does one find the "Other Speed Dials" folder in Opera for Android now? I would have expected to find it under Bookmarks, but it isn't there. So has it been moved, or is there some other way to find it that I have yet to discover? Thanks for your help.

RE: Sync login page not available?Synchronization
Thanks for your input. I did install the current version, but initially I couldn't get it to run normally - it would crash while still loading and initializing. So I re-installed the older version, which would at least run successfully, but was missing my bookmarks and other data. And of course, I couldn't log in to sync with it. It just didn't seem likely to me that the login page might have been purposely deleted so recently, and I couldn't imagine anything else that could have changed to be so incompatible with the earlier version that it would crash the program. As it turned out, apparently the URL did change. After my post, I re-installed the new version and eventually managed to get it working. I discovered that the login page URL it took me too was https://auth.opera.com/account/authenticate/email, so I guess it did change. It had a little trouble getting logged in, but eventually it got there and things seem to be working, at least for the moment.

RE: Transferring Speed Dial to another PCSynchronization
The above response is a bit cryptic, but essentially correct. In version 38, your speed dial entries are contained in the "Bookmarks" file, in the Win7 user's <AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable> folder. Copy it over to the same folder on your new machine. Then run Opera and look in the bookmarks manager (just click on the heart on the start page). Look under "Other Speed Dials" and you'll find a folder with your old machine's name that has all your speed dial entries in it. Click on it and they will all appear in the right pane. Select them all, then drag them to the "Speed Dial" folder.
