Opera constantly crashes in gmail (and sometimes other sites too).
      Any ideas?

Which version of Opera? Which Version of Windows? What is the exact error message you are seeing?

          Opera 36.0.2130.75 on Windows Vista.
Admittedly my system isn't great and it can get quite slow sometimes, but Opera crashes almost always in gmail and not other sites (which only happens sometimes).

          The crash looks like this.

Does it do it if you are viewing the page in a private window?

I'm using the latest Opera available for Vista.
                  I don't have any extensions.

Do a standalone installation and check if the problem also happens there.

When I originally installed Opera two months ago, it wasn't a standalone installation?

It depends on what was your choice back then. If you just did a default installation then it was a 'for all users' one.

To do a standalone installation, run the installer and in options change the install path and the 'install for" field.

It really makes a difference if it's installed for all users or only one? What does that have to do with gmail crashing all the time?

                          Thank you.

The main idea is to create a separated installation, with a new clean profile, to check if the problem is not caused by a broken profile and/or installation.
