I've the same problem but i'm using just Opera, not Opera GX. I think it's a problem with the last update, because I use Opera for more than one year now and it's the first time I've this issue.
Is it possible to redirect the the speed dial page to a different page?

On checking with the adblocker disabled it seems to work. Also, added an exception and now it seems to work.
