@arkybee As your research should already have told you, it's been a while that Opera supports the installation of Chrome extensions natively and because of that, the extension to install Chrome extensions was removed since it's longer needed.

@child212 You can install Chrome extensions in Opera by just going to their pages in Chrome Store and click on Add to Opera/Chrome button.

If the extension will work or not is a different thing.

bug gif file selection

it may be depending upon the size of the image or gif. use some image resizer to shrink the image/gif file size and then try to upload
