  Opera has the opera://startpage page that allows you to put multiple homepage buttons (speed dials) on it. So, each thumbnail on the start page is a home page button. To get to the start page you click the + button in the tab bar which is like the main home button.

  With that said, you can use an extension from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/home button?_category=extensions to add a button to the right of the address bar to load the site you want when you click it.

  Make sure you update to Opera GX 86.0.4363.64 first. I can't reproduce the problem in my Opera GX.

  @burnout426 first thanks for the quick respond. Second I attempted to do standalone installation again with the download from the link you sent me and it did not even let me click the download button before crashing.

  Now that Opera GX has updated to 86, this seems fixed for me and doing a reset of settings should be safe in my testing.
