The followin passage may in particular shed some light here:
Currently, the Opera TV Store has implemented some additional hardcoded behavior which automatically closes an application if the user presses Back/Return and the browser history is empty, without the possibility to preventDefault() the event. The idea is to avoid faulty applications from inadvertently trapping users.

Hello Bisewski,

We believe that you're having a little older version of Opera on your TV where Cross Domain Requests are not yet available. If it's possible please try to make requests directly to the server where you serving your files so it should work across older SDK Versions too.

Dear User,

All TV Store applications have to support 1280×720 resolution. Other common TV resolutions (1920×1080, 960×540) are currently not supported. Although the TV Store browser itself supports regular scrolling, applications should be designed not to require scrolling, and if needed should provide their own custom mechanisms for displaying long lists of items or content.

Default port number for http or https is not Opera or Sony specification.
Opera follows corresponding web standards, so by default:
http it's always: 80 https is always: 443

The Opera TV Store does not currently provide a Facebook app for Sony devices.
The Opera TV Store also does not provide a TV browser.
You may use the URL Loader under the Tools category to load any webpage, but we cannot guarantee that it will work correctly.
For further assistance with your TV I would suggest contacting Sony.
