so I will describe suggestion.
Please give ui like in maxthon browser. This is mobile version Opera so we need simple ui with no animations. This will speed up Opera. Oh and don't change off road mode. In actual veraion is best.

try link2sd app.. if ur phn is rooted u can convert any app to system app but some apps may misbehave and maynot work properly

Once I tried to convert Opera to system app but the app does not open

'Continue from last time' ability when exiting/closing Opera Mobile Classic

1.close all the tabs before you exit, this will work for sure

2.use the android built-in (application manager) to close opera mobile classic, i haven't tested this on my brother's motorola milestone phone. but it works for my (nokia 5800 symbian s60) phone

hold the opera mobile icon for 2 seconds, then you can move the icon to where you want
(wishlist) for opera mobile has been removed?

It works as it should* in my phone.

*Double-tap lift finger, then move up/down - scrolls.
Double-tap keep pressing and move up/down - zooms out/in.

I think the "bug" is device-specific.

firnagzen, Opera 12 uses the Presto engine, that might be it... I know on the desktop versions 'old Opera' can handle 10 TIMES the pages Chrome can. I see no point in running a chrome shell, so once enough pages stop working with Presto engine, I'll say goodbye to opera for good(user since the 90's).
