@ds123456 Yeah, another proof the bug is KDE + Wayland related.

RE: Ubuntu: starting Opera failsOpera for Linux
@geekk Hmm, then maybe you are hit by a different bug. This works on my CachyOS KDE on Wayland
mkdir -p /tmp/opera-clean env XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=GNOME XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 \ opera-stable --ozone-platform=x11 --user-data-dir=/tmp/opera-clean --no-first-run --disable-gpu about:blank -
RE: Ubuntu: starting Opera failsOpera for Linux
Known bug especially on Arch based systems and KDE. There is a workaround but it requires to run Opera on X11 instead of Wayland.

RE: Opera 125 StableBlogs
Opera still crashes on my CachyOS with KDE. Here is a portion of the error code (forum rules won't let me post whole)

RE: Opera 125 StableBlogs
@krteq The same here on CachyOS.
Temporary workaround:
mkdir -p /tmp/opera-clean env XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP=GNOME XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 \ opera-stable --ozone-platform=x11 --user-data-dir=/tmp/opera-clean --no-first-run --disable-gpu about:blank -
Annoying issues after recent update 118.0.5461.60Opera for Linux
Since last update (ver. 118.0.5461.60) I experience two annoying issues:
- every time I open Opera it opens a tab with this path (I had to shorten it significantly)

RE: Lucid Mode 2.0...broken?Opera for Linux
@zibi1981 Almost a year had passed and still Lucid Mode is broken on Linux. Anyone knows why?

RE: How to activate DRM?Opera for Linux
It seems in my case firejail is preventing Opera from using DRM, although I don't know why this wasn't the case on a newly installed system.

RE: HASŁOPolski
@jantos To w jaki sposób ustanowiłeś nowe hasło, skoro Opera żąda starego? Założyłeś nowe konto? Jeśli tak, to chyba jedyną opcją jest odzyskiwanie hasła dla poprzedniego konta.

RE: How to activate DRM?Opera for Linux
@sgunhouse Widevine is updated and, funny enough, Opera states, that is uses it...

RE: How to activate DRM?Opera for Linux
@babache It seems to me that one of the recent versions of Opera broke (again) the DRM under Linux, as I wasn't having any issues with this couple weeks ago, and now the content won't play. Firefox and Vivaldi under the exactly same system (Arch) run DRM content flawlessly.

RE: [Compilation] Discussions on Problems Playing Videos on LinuxOpera for Linux
@cappy984 In my case it is a similar issue, but I guess related only to DRM content

Lucid Mode 2.0...broken?Opera for Linux
So after one of the last updates, I think the one that brought Lucid Mode 2.0, it seems this mode doesn't work anymore. I do not see any image enhancements when turning Lucid on, but also there is no slide visible for image comparison.
Is this issue present only on Linux?Opera One (version: 105.0.4970.34) You have the latest version of Opera Update Channel: Stable System: Arch Linux (x86_64; KDE) Version Chromium: 119.0.6045.199 -
RE: White thin bar over title bar while playing videos on Linux.Opera for Linux
OK, I have some kind of a hint - the annoying thin white bar is gone when I use "dark mode" on my Arch KDE. Will it be related to the display mode itself?
-
RE: White thin bar over title bar while playing videos on Linux.Opera for Linux
The problem is still present in version 105.0.4970.16.
-
RE: White thin bar over title bar while playing videos on Linux.Opera for Linux
@pindos I wonder if there's some king of option being enabled/disabled by default that causes this issue, or maybe it's related to Lucid enhancements?

White thin bar over title bar while playing videos on Linux.Opera for Linux
I'm having an annoying issue with Opera while playing video content on any website (Youtube, Netflix, HBO etc.). When I maximise the window to fit the entire screen, there's a thin white bar that could be seen at the upper edge above the title bar.
I'm on Opera 104.0.4944.36 and Arch Linux.
Any ideas what's going on?
