I've had this problem for over a year now, and it looks like it's still there as of July 2020. Not using a VPN or proxy either.

Heightened RAM and GPU memory usage and crashesOpera for Windows
I am a pretty heavy user and generally have 100+ tabs open at any time. Usually this posed no issue on any of my PCs, which have between 16GB and 32GB of RAM. On some occasions, I got individual page crashes, but when I reloaded the page, it would reduce the RAM usage elsewhere and properly load the page.
However, recently, I think as of version 65 (but could have been earlier), Opera keeps crashing all the time with high RAM usage. I suspect it also has to do with the GPU memory, as it happens more often with GPU-intensive websites like video sites. However, what I see directly is just that heavier RAM usage causes crashes, and a general slowdown of the system. The frequency is about 2–3 crashes per hour.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Downloads not showing up after v60 upgradeOpera for Windows
After upgrading to version 60, it looks like the downloads page (opera:downloads / Ctrl+J) does not show any downloads since after the upgrade. However, clicking on the downloads icon on the top-right of the screen does show the recent downloads.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in the new version?

RE: Back button skips a pageOpera for Windows
I have been getting this for a long time as well. It seems to happen when I click on the search result within a second or so, waiting longer usually prevents it from happening. I thought it might be related to pending XHRs but it doesn't seem to be the case--even when there are pending ones but I wait longer, the issue doesn't occur.

RE: Camera and Microphone Permission ProblemsOpera for Windows
Sorry I forgot about this thread, but the problem still exists. Yes, it's a Flash object, however, the request is coming from Opera even after allowing the microphone in Flash, and in the settings, 'Manage Exceptions' doesn't work at all (no ability to add an exception).
If you want to test it, try www.forvo.com (try to record something there).

Camera and Microphone Permission ProblemsOpera for Windows
I want to grant microphone access to a website, and it keeps asking me each time. I therefore went to Settings > Websites > Media > Manage exceptions...
however, the box is completely empty and I can't enter anything. Is this normal? Is it a known issue?
Also, is it possible to give only microphone permissions without camera permissions? (They are not the same device)I am using v 31.0.1889.174 on Windows 7 x64.

Wikipedia Search Engine ChangedOpera for Windows
I think it's a change in version 25, but not entirely sure: suddenly the w keyword points to my local language Wikipedia instead of the English Wikipedia, which I prefer. This is a default search engine and I cannot change it—and I'm sure it's not one of the search engine that Opera makes money from. Is there a way to revert this change locally?

Ctrl + Backspace Runing ExperienceOpera for Windows
Opera 21 introduced the ctrl + backspace shortcut to go "up one directory" in a URL. I have personally never used this functionality, but maybe others find it really useful. Still, why ctrl + backspace? This is a very common key combination for deleting an entire previous word in an input, and this functionality completely ruins the Opera experience. I'm not the only one:
http://superuser.com/questions/726337/is-there-a-way-to-disable-ctrlbackspace-behavior-in-opera-21-0-1432-0I have tried following the instructions above, by the way, to solve the problem, but they don't appear to work as described in the comment.
Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated, but I also call on the Opera developers to either remove this combination or introduced a GUI-based keyboard shortcut editor like in Opera 12, so that things like this don't happen. I'm sure that many others suffer from the same issue but don't know where and how to give feedback (and/or don't use Opera enough to care).
