videos in Whatsapp Web doesnt play anymore. This was a problem some versions ago. But the solution from there doesnt work anymore because this "tag" doesnt exist anymore (https://forums.opera.com/topic/27931/whatsapp-tool-don-t-play-videos-and-don-t-allow-the-video-downloa). Same problem - but no solution.

Old videos are still playing. Seems that it doesnt download the videos?

Version:60.0.3255.170
Windows 7 / 64bit

Anyone has a solution?

Therefor you should use Telegram ( https://telegram.org )! Never will lose anything, more stable, more comfortable, more functions, more SAFE, usable with several devices and they dont rob your data ...

Today, I received an opera update to 54.0.2952.71 and was hoping .... but nothing changed

Yes, you are right!!! It doesnt depend on it. The only videos I can see are those which are already downloaded - local on my PC! It seems that there is a problem with downloading the videos. I deactivated firewalls, v-scan, everything. It doesnt work!

It seems that it only / mostly occures with forwarded videos. I can see some directly sent videos. Anybody here who can confirm?

Hmmm, who invented this? Doesn't make sense. Think that most of the people who use it have atleast two devices: a phone and a pad?!

And I really don't understand why they talk about "... connect your deviceS ..." in the manuals / comercials / description on the site.

Really would be a good idea. But only one device really doesnt make sense. Disconect one - conect he other - disconect - change back - ... ... . I will keep on sending myself the links via TELEGRAM and I have it on all my devices.

P.S.: Opera really should write this down in the descriptions / manuals / help! Was searching and trying lots of time ...
