on the one hand, you save bandwith with turbo and ad blocking on the site, but then use all those savings to download a half minute long vid for "Wish"
there were times, one could happily survive on a 100meg data plan, but now life with even 500 becomes hard 
Sometimes i get VIDEO interstitial ads, they eat ~5m a pop.
I'm giving up on updates from Opera
'm currently investigating how to port my bookmarks, saved pages and stuff back to v29, as plain downgrading will let the app crash on start.
User feedback looks to have forced removing them the annoying popup ads when opening a page in 30 and 31. but now you sometimes, randomly get interstitial ads when following a link. no countdown timer, but still annoying and data plan wasting.
Then, these new suggested search terms in the url&search bar.
TF i care about Milly Vanilly or whatever holliwood and sports!
Please, let us turn these off.

I and lot's here would pay a one time or even subscription fee if there would be an option, like millions of apps do for an ad-free version.

What I don't get is why people just don't go use another browser if Opera Mini no longer fits their needs. There are lots of options out there like Opera for Android, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
Opera is the only one left with compression and in some countries data plans are metered and/or expensive, like Germany.

Always remember that downloading softwares from non-official fonts may lead you to be infected with malwares.
use apk-mirror or fdroid, dont't download just from google search results, and verify signature

you're right on the version - 29 is the last one without ads!

whenever a page is too large or not mobile friendly, like the desktop version of reddit,
zooming via pinch gesture or vertical scrolling gets unreliable, mostly it just gets stuck!

ADB backup
Do an
adb -d shell pm list packages | grep opera
To find out Opera's package name
Then
adb backup -f opera.ab <packagename>
(com.opera...whatever)
Extract the .ab file with the Java "Android ADB Backup Extractor" abe.jar, mht are somewhere in 'savedpages'
Just extracted my Opera Mini backup to find all pages in a neat mht.gzip form, making archiving them platform-agnostic a lot easier than the old .obml format (for which i used a rooted Android VM to inject those oout of backups from my non rooted phones)
Now it would be even greater to have them saved in the shared storage

There's an option in Google Play to disable the auto-update of a single app. Go to the Opera Mini page on it, press menu (or the three-dot overflow button) and uncheck auto-update.
i know that function but it was not there until today!
seems the sore got updatet today, too, now its where it belongs: under the app
and the hard way finally works again - disconnecting the App from Market with TB
I have problem after updating operamini to latest.. the addreas and search bar is too small.. the navigation bar too big.. my hp samsung galaxy mega 5.8 please help..this is the screenshot

on Android (4.2) recent version has a too big address bar size

i have a high dpi device (1280x800 on 7") and that wastes a lot of screen space
