@thezanderpanda said in Browser History only goes back to Jan 15th:
Hi, noticed my browser history only goes back to 15th January. I've been using this phone for a couple years and opera since 2016 on the same account.
Using Android 13 on oneplus 8 pro. Os oxygen 13.1
Am signed into my opera account and sync is on.
Opera version 79.6.4195.77168
It updated this morning.
VPN, adblock, data saver, are all off.
I have noticed there are entries dropping off at the bottom when I make new searches (on this subject).
I thought 3 months was retained?Nobody any ideas?

RE: Reinstalling OperaOpera for Windows
@zalex108 said in Reinstalling Opera:
In
- Opera Help > Find solutions.
You will find where your profile it's located and the files you would need to back up.
In case of any Sync problem or file missed or not checked to Sync, you will find all your stuff there.
If you still can open Opera, try to export the extensions settings - if they allow to do it -.
Important:
In case you save passwords but do not sync them, ask on how to export them.
Also, take this on count.
Windows 10 (x64) | Anniversary Update
Opera Stable · Beta · DeveloperOpera Test profile | Opera Back up Linux · Mac · Win
Thanks; I don't use Opera to save passwords prefer to use dedicated manager for flexibility.

RE: Reinstalling OperaOpera for Windows
Using Bootracer I looked into my start up and identified a couple of probable culprits; one of which was listed as "Application Restart in the windows c:\windows\HelpPane.exe - Home
The other was onedrive setup as I have switched to using Mega to back up to the cloud (with varying degrees of success).
I didn't delete but instead disabled them at start-up and the problem is solved. I have noticed no ill effect. -
Reinstalling OperaOpera for Windows
I was advised by Microsoft to reinstall Opera as I have an issue where on bootup Opera launches with a fwd link to a microsoft support page. Its annoying, but the MS technician rand SFC/Scannow and found no issues then suggested resinstalling Opera as it is only this browser that launches. Has anyone had a similar issue with Win 10? Does this sound like good advice, and if my data is synced, can i retrieve it post install to get back my browsing history etc?
