Thank you will check it out sorry for a late reply. Found a fix sort of. But have ran into this.
Quote from web site I think it was OLD APPS or somthing like that.. In a nut shell it goes to state going to paraphrase.
"Due to systems or peoples hardware they aren't always or can't use updated applications many of these older versions may no longer be supported" I'm fine with that and I do apologize for being grumpy and or frustrated. Why can't Dev's realize that not everyone has upgraded equipment. Yeah auto update is a no brainer "Gee I don't has to do nothing". I'm using Firefox to post this because Opera can't reach this site. and others site that I have bookmarked. really, I haven't changed anything other than blocking auto updater with my firewall.
Well any\either way again thanks going to try v34 or 38 I forgot when I download opera.
Peace

@sgunhouse thanks for the reply, i did try that. This is a HP mini 1037nr it seems to have a built in or just covered over
dimm a computer student\comp lab worker had a compatible 2gb dimm and found me a power adapter.Seems to work.@leocg also thank you, months of frustration and no joy, the f-bomb may come out and the formatting. Well the preview looked o.k. something I did or didn't do when sending post.
And thank you for the Internet lesson,I just had no idea... I'll just go back to banging rocks together to start fire..
Still it didn't answer the question of a version downgrade or at least an ability of switching to choose to upgrade other than turn on and you have no choice.See, I believe, that this [ netbook ] though free and other equipment and applications that I have purchased are mine and not subject to the software's decision of when to update and even if I want to update. Due to the reasons of compatibility, space or size and resources, you are normally given a choice even Microsoft gives you the choice[ not suggested but o.k turn off]. And having to find some back door exploit to make it behave the way the END User needs and wants it to,is a pain.
Anyway, power settings are balanced and the advanced options are set to min.CPU use 5% both battery and plugged in max CPU plugged in 95% battery 90% task manager usually says my usage is at 80-95%.. except Opera doesn't use a lot, though there are 8 operea .exe[s] working and I only have 4 add ons ?
I did find the older version archive but again if not broke don't fix it. I don't want to end up with the same results. If you two or anyone else has a version suggestion that would be cool. If not no opera for me.
Oh..by the way, I'm really not a jerk I just didn't expect that a moderator of a forum would reply to someone like a they are a dim witted ten year old
"@tamlin1066 Next time avoid using the F word. Also format your post so reading it is easier for the others. As the Web evolves, it demands more from the browsers that, in consequence, require more from the hardware. Browser makers try their best to allow their products to run on computers with low resources but there will always be a point where a hardware upgrade will be necessary.
Thanks for your Help

Opera help.. Slow, Choppy and Unresponsive needing to change versions maybeOpera for Windows
OK, first Hi, second I am\was really liking opera, My go to browser for years has been Firefox, but as things change they started to suck real bad. so I switched, with out going on and on. I loved the ad-ons the ad blocker, no script, that really freakin annoying site that pops up a new window saying you got a virus and you have to log off to get rid of it cause you can't close the fu#@ing window block.
Opera you can do the same, Like like the fact That it has a ad blocker and ublock origin and I got this cool dark theme thing DARK MODE. I'm 47 wear glasses and dark backgrounds work better and I like the speed dial so I'm not loading up my bookmark bar with more than 8 saved sites OH and the VPN for some of those sites i.e P.Bay YTS. Everything was a pleasure to use reminded me of when FF didn't Blow chunks
Now I'm done being nice...I have had a major set back in life, condo fire lost everything and renting a small flat and needed spinal surgery in March out of work for a year. I say this cause I don't need some butt nugget saying buy a better computer[ middle finger you buy it for me Slug] I would if I could but "ain't broke don't fix it"[ something developers should follow] .
I use daily an android device a beat but rooted S5 and A electronics recycle bin find a HP MINI netbook it has 3gb ram dual core 1.6 ion atom and I got my copy of win7 32 bit ultimate on it jacked up the visual memory and it works fine. EXCEPT since I started using Opera v.45 to now 46 it has auto updated to the point that this little dino netbook, freezes becomes responsive and take aeon to load a page and Fu@#ingg youtube I might as well just shoot myself[ and their no help either they say use a different browser clean your browser screw you All browsers suck now TO MANY G.DAMN ADS on your site] Opera is the least evil.
I am decently tech savvy and I use my ccleaner, reg cleaner, clean out my temp files use a firewall and malware virus stuff all that crap....Sorry going back to not so frustrated...I dig this browser,But would like to to either find a fix, downgrade to say version 42 or 43 which ever one I started with[ and liked] and would like to disable the auto updater. Cause not everyone has a superfly computer, lappie or what ever.
I am sorry to those who may think that this was rude or trolling but months of frustration and having to create a new account again. to get some form of answer, would be nice. So downgrade? what would be a fix? which add=ons won't criple and no auto update, and not use a ton of resources that SSLLLOOOWWW things down..Wants's the point of a netbook if you can't use the net.
plz notify me or email Thank you
