RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@kalebesouza said in Widevine and Opera:
@stefanw1337 To fix this on new Opera installations just copy lib: libffmpeg.so to the Opera directory.Terminal command: sudo cp /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/
$ sudo cp /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/
cp: cannot stat '/usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so': No such file or directory$ find . libffmpeg.so | grep libffmpeg.so

RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@fonm I mean, good for you?
$ locate /usr/lib/opera|grep -i ffmpeg
And for the sake of sudo:
$ sudo locate /usr/lib/opera|grep -i ffmpegNothing. This with both snap and non-snap installed.

RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@leocg I know, which is what I did to install the non-snap version(dpkg). But shouldn't the easier option have the most mainstream options and choices for the "normal" more casual user? You know, those new to linux?
Edit: seems more software is weird on snap. For instance Spotify.

RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@leocg Snap is the regular version, for the everyday user? At least, that's what the store installed for me. The other store was upgraded at some point to the "Snap Store".
I haven't been testing that much, as you can see the folders are the same as before. But when I went to check for DRM, it said it had widevide, so I suppose it's fine.

RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@burnout426 I mean, even after installing snap:
$ sudo ls -lR /usr/lib/opera | grep widevine_config.json
ls: cannot access '/usr/lib/opera': No such file or directory$ sudo locate /usr/lib/opera | grep widevine_config.json
$ sudo find . widevine_config.json | grep widevine_config.json
find: ‘widevine_config.json’: No such file or directory -
RE: Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
@fonm Exactly the same answers. Any more ideas? I need to try the non-snap version I suppose.

Widevine and OperaOpera for Linux
So we're back here again, aren't we?
I have no folder:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/operaI couldn't find any widevind_config.json, so I made one, and tried to follow the guide made waay back on these forums, and read the comments and really, it's kinda messed for me right now.
Does anyone have an updated guide?
Running
Xubuntu 20.04 and
Opera 68.0.3618.125And I have Chrome, and DRM works there.
Opera devs, please pay attention in class, and fix this once and for all! -
RE: Right-click instantly closes againOpera for Linux
@sgunhouse Yes, and I have it. It just won't allow me to paste it. Now it let me, as Synergy isn't running.
Version:68.0.3618.125
Opera is up to date -
Right-click instantly closes againOpera for Linux
I right-click and can only see the white where the menu where supposed to be, but it instantly closes. Why? I have restarted Opera, and it works well for a little while. Annoying AF. Mouse gestures works fine.
Running on Xubuntu 20.04 with newest Opera(I can't get to any of the menus to check for version).
Got the menus working again, didn't restart. Just started working again. But now I have a problem with copy and paste. Which I suspect is an Syngery2 issue.

RE: [Solved]Opera still have problems on mixer.comOpera for Windows
@burnout426 I did as leocg said, I just ran it in a private window, and it's fine. So I suppose it's the addons, or something. In other words, it's resolved
And if you still wonder, I run
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.18362.145 64-bits
with
Opera Version:60.0.3255.151 -
[Solved]Opera still have problems on mixer.comOpera for Windows
It looks terrible, and it's choppy as all hell.
This was with Low Latency checked, and while it didn't get so mosaic without it, it still was buffering like crazy.And I've seen similar complains in the past, why aren't they fixed?
