That's because BBC iplayer is too smart to detect a virtual IP address and if an IP is used again and again.... like the VPN service provider has limited addresses, then it's normal that your IP will be detected.

for me best sci-fiction movies are like Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow, Arrival, Dune, Blade Runner, Matrix, all of them are great.

you raise this issue with Google's support, try to contact them again, I think it should be resolved but you have to prove ownership of account, good luck to you
