all I can do under the "downloads" header is set one download location for all files. No file type specific download locations, no file type program associations.
There aren't such options.
Are the advanced settings just hidden somewhere
The settings are the ones your are seeing in the settings page. You can enable the power user settings to get a couple of new ones.
