@pgper They arent going to fix it. If they were going to fix it, they would have already done so. There are threads about this all over the place. This thread itself is almost a year old.... and still no fix. One of the reasons I stopped using Opera

Opera phoning home without permissionOpera for Android
I am running Opera 53.0.2569.141117 on a Note 4, with Android 6.01. I just noticed the other day, for the first time ever, Opera telling there is an update available. I have Google set to "not" check for updates on the play store. And, this isnt a notification from Google, its all Opera.... showing up in the main menu.... "Update Available: Tap to install". I see no option in Opera setting, to turn this off. The only thing I see is ""Opera Notifications", which I have turned off. Am I missing something, or is Opera now phoning home on its own, without my permission/knowledge?

RE: Transferring Profiles???Opera for Linux
@burnout426 Thank You! I started over by copying a working profile into my .config folder. I deleted the "Login Data" file, and I was able to import my passwords. But, I thought, that doesn't mean that the passwords will sync. So I deleted the folder, copy the working profile folder again, deleted the "Login Data" file, and then logged into sync. My passwords synced and appeared. It was like I was being locked out of my password file by copying a working profile folder, but I had no idea what the issue was. Thank you again!

RE: Transferring Profiles???Opera for Linux
@burnout426 Thanks for the info. It reminds me of when Windows changed how they pulled info off of each machine and stored it..... for registration purposes. It could tell the difference in 3 identical machines.
Even though my machines now are not identical, the OS/version, user names and passwords, Opera versions..... all identical. But, it pulls enough info, to see it as different. Thanks again, that was an easy fix, that I couldnt figure out!

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@yogimanuk Agreed. Getting real tired of them breaking their own browser, with their own updates. Not to mention, its inexcusable to take almost 2 months, to fix such a huge issue. I mean, seriously.... a browser with no menus, is useless. BTW, same issue here on Mint 20.2 and Opera 89.0.4447.51. The menus do seem to finally come back somehow, if I leave the browser open long enough, which is even more puzzling.

Unzip the libffmpeg.so and replace the the one that comes with Opera (rename it as backup) that normally is in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera
Close and open Opera and test it in html5test.com, check if now there is H.264 support.
Keep a copy of the libffmpeg.so downloaded from github, you may need it again when Opera is updated again without H.264 video support. If you put the one you download in "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/lib_extra" instead of replacing the one that comes with Opera, Opera will use the lib_extra one and it'll be left alone when upgrading.
I have no sub-folder named "lib_extra" in my "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera" directory

RE: No menu when clicking right button..Opera for Linux
@markinaustin I got tired of messing with it, and everything else Opera would break (especially video) when they would issue an update. I went to Brave. Its a resource hog, but it...... just.......works. Its invasive and they dont give me full control over my own browser, but nothing is perfect. I will take working, over constantly being broke any day. Its bad enough Opera gets broken with updates, but to make it worse...... they.... dont........ fix it!

RE: WeatherOpera add-ons
Absolutely useless. Temp and forecast is always off..... by as much as 10 degrees. Next weeks forecast calls for highs in the 90s and hitting 100, when the REAL forecast is beautiful and in the 80s.

@leocg No, I dont "have" to do anything, especially keep repeating myself to someone who ignores me. Just delete the thread. You have been no help, and I do not want help from people like you.

RE: Transferring Profiles???Opera for Linux
@leocg No, you need to either go back and re-read my original post, or just leave me alone.... because youre Not listening! From my OP: **"I have my extensions, settings and bookmarks....but no passwords. The passwords will not sync then either. I waited several days, no passwords. I even saved my passwords from one of the other 2 working installs, to a csv file. I tried to import the csv file on the machine with the new install. No go."
