      @silverfox66 You need to chill out if you still want to get some help here. Remember that people here are using their spare time, that they could be spending with their loved ones, to help others .
      And this is a (public) forum, so anyone can reply to your posts and you have to accept and deal with it.

      That said, let's go back to the problem.

      Is passwords syncing enabled? It was enabled before?
      In opera://sync-internals, the board on the right says what about passwords syncing?

        @leocg No, I dont "have" to do anything, especially keep repeating myself to someone who ignores me. Just delete the thread. You have been no help, and I do not want help from people like you.

              @silverfox66 Well, you were the one all stressed.

              By the way, yesterday I exported and imported my saved passwords in Opera and everything worked fine.

                  If passwords won't save, import and sync after copying a profile from one computer to another, try deleting the "Login Data" file in the profile folder. If that alone doesn't do it, delete both the "Login Data" and "Local State" files. That will probably fix it.

                  For Sync issues in general, you can delete the "Sync Data" folder in the profile folder and then log back into sync to see how things work. Sometimes though, you also have goto https://www.sync.opera.com/ and reset your passphrase to wipe out all sync data on the server to really fix things though. For passwords, deleting the "Sync Data", "Login Data", and "Local State" files really ought to fix things.

                  Never tested Sync on Linux, but on Windows, there's an option to sync settings too. If it's there on Linux, you can try that for settings too.

                  As always though, make a full backup of your profile folder and passwords etc. before messing with things just in case.

                  Did Opera ever come up with a way to copy a working profile, from one (Mint) computer to another?

                  Nothing new besides what you already know.

                    @burnout426 Thank You! I started over by copying a working profile into my .config folder. I deleted the "Login Data" file, and I was able to import my passwords. But, I thought, that doesn't mean that the passwords will sync. So I deleted the folder, copy the working profile folder again, deleted the "Login Data" file, and then logged into sync. My passwords synced and appeared. It was like I was being locked out of my password file by copying a working profile folder, but I had no idea what the issue was. Thank you again!

                      @silverfox66 said in Transferring Profiles???:

                      That was indeed the case. The password file can only be used with the specific user account on the specific machine that it was created with.

                      https://superuser.com/questions/146742/how-does-google-chrome-store-passwords has some more info on it if you're curious (Mac and Windows explanations, but should be good enough).

                        @burnout426 Thanks for the info. It reminds me of when Windows changed how they pulled info off of each machine and stored it..... for registration purposes. It could tell the difference in 3 identical machines.

                        Even though my machines now are not identical, the OS/version, user names and passwords, Opera versions..... all identical. But, it pulls enough info, to see it as different. Thanks again, that was an easy fix, that I couldnt figure out!
