RE: Revealing PasswordsOpera for Windows
Like I said, it does not ask for password before revealing passwords. Is this a bug on the xp version?
Plus, what I meant to say before was, that ideally, whenever Opera enters a password for you automatically, it should ask for a quick password first. My idea is that you have to press a certain key within 5 secs, and you only get few tries! -
RE: Revealing PasswordsOpera for Windows
Forgot to mention, that yes, I did obviously reboot when trying this out. I'll try again soon maybe

RE: Revealing PasswordsOpera for Windows
thanks all, but actually knew about that, I actually never had a OS password deeming it not so necessary, and actually still think so! But I did make a password to try out this feature, and lo and behold, it still does not ask me for any password before revealing passwords! Now what?

Revealing PasswordsOpera for Windows
Hi, I have version 34.0.2036.25
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows XP 32-bit
and I am VERY surprised to see that anybody can see my passwords simply by going to Setting, Manage Passwords, and click on Show by any of the stored passwords!!??? What happened to my privacy??
Actually this whole business of Opera (or the other browsers) entering passwords automatically sounds quite risky to me, what happens if somebody gets hold of my laptop? Surely there should be one central password to activate any of the stored password? Isn't this common sense, yet nobody seems to implement this! But now this Opera has gone a stage further to offer the user the actual password to use anywhere else he sees fit????????
Any help or insight? Many thanks -
RE: Can I open new tabs in the foreground instead of in the background?Opera for Windows
Yes, I too found it very annoying that the ?new? Opera does not have any setting to allow opening tabs in foreground! Why leave out such a basic setting??? Very annoying! Another example of going one step forward and two backwards!

RE: Not a trusted supplier??? Plus, auto night mode etcOpera Mini
Wow, that worked! Downloaded it from where you said and hey presto!
Million dollar question is, why when downloaded from the Nokia app store, run in Opera, do we get the unsigned version?!? -
RE: Not a trusted supplier??? Plus, auto night mode etcOpera Mini
Hi, and thanks for your comments. I'll maybe try redownloading and see see. Regarding might mode, it is a built in feature to Opera Mini, and I was just wondering if they could implement it automatically, whereby after a certain time it would switch to it!

Not a trusted supplier??? Plus, auto night mode etcOpera Mini
Hi.
I am running Opera Mini on a s40 platform (Nokia 301), and every time it asks me permission to access the network because Opera is not from a trusted supplier. Surely it is, considering Nokia themselves use it for their app store????!!
Secondly, what about auto night mode, i.e. after a certain time of the day, it will automatically enter night (dimmed) mode!
Thirdly, why is Opera's cut and paste not globally recognized by the phone? I.e. when copying text from a web site, it will not be recognised elsewhere on the phone, nor will fullscreen editing be able to use this copied text!!
