Can confirm, having the same issues here and there ... clicking on plugin and rest of the page multiple times seems to make it work again, but thats not a viable solution.

for security issues
I lol'd
you can not change/delete the standard engines
yes I can, though its cumbersome.
after updates Opera sets the engines which are in contract with Opera ASA
which is exactly what I'm complaining about.

Dear Opera, don't change my searchesOpera for Windows
I have nothing against setting default search engines when you install the browser, but:
- allow me to change/delete them
- DON'T override my changes on update

RE: Opera 25 remove Yahoo from default search enginesFuture releases
srsly, change this! at least allow me to change the shortcut (I thought opera was about choice for the user)

RE: Jon von Tetzchner, Opera's founder and former CEO spoke to The RegisterOpera for Windows
biggerabalone:
I work in a big-ish software company (with a few hundred employees ... or are we even in the thousand range now?). I can tell you that if you kicked out the right 90 people (on all levels) the company would probably collapse (or at least it would hurt very much). If you kicked out 90 other people probably nothing would happen. So it really depends on who leaves. Also afaik the 90 people are those that "were let go" (to use that particular euphemism), which does not tell you anything about people who may have ragequit eg. as soon as the announcement was made to kill off presto or later when they noticed that all the promises like "we are gonna make an even better product than we had" (who else heard that particular sentence from his boss already) were not fulfilled.

Anyone knows how to make it visible?
from the screenshot it looks like you need to set up mail and enable tab thumbnails.
Edit: to be exact, the image is located in the standard_skin.zip as thumbnails/mail.png. Most interestingly the writing looks like the name actually reads "Jon S. von Tetzcher" though it could be my imagination as the resultion is really not that high

RE: Suspicious sites loading.Opera for Windows
I have quite a few ads blocked, but if you mean the requests that happen during typing, those are for the autocomplete dropdown. In any case, you can also check every request made through Dragonfly (Network tab)
In case you dont know your way around dragonfly here a hint how to make it behave: disable Documents -> "Select an element..." (3rd from the left) and Scripts -> "Show parse errors and break on exceptions" (2nd from right) as those are really annoying options if you don't do element inspection or js debugging

RE: Opera Market Share in decline since switch to ChromiumOpera for Windows
@greekonsun: Youtube was broken on Op15+ for some time - probably due to faulty browser sniffing.

RE: Opera Market Share in decline since switch to ChromiumOpera for Windows
filed a bug at wikimedia because their stats seem not to count 15+ correctly (because it does not show up at all, and even 10.10 with its 0.01% share shows up)

thats what readability/usercss/etc is for... writing one post in huge letters does not change readability of rest of thread.

RE: Opera stopped working for lots of sitesOpera for Windows
ok, round two
1) does nslookup work?
2) same for telnet
3) define "other browsers" ... eg. not sure if chrome might fall back to googles dns or something
4) system proxy settings vs. operas proxy settingsgenerally hard to say without knowing setup details
