I have to say, I really like the newest visuals in Opera beta!
What visuals do you like? I really don't like the new opera phone tab switcher, it has the giant thumbnails and the other really tiny ones at the bottom with a lot of wasted space. I just don't get it
Does this version bring back the option to use the old tab switcher from version 36?
I have had problems with Wikipedia in general for a while now. It often freezes up to and can't scroll with mouse wheel, only scroll bar.
Option would be nice, but of course there is a trade off, it's not possible to zoom in the app.
Where they are stored is probably not useful to you. Just create an access point (aka Label in 12.17) that shows all the messages you want to delete, then Select All (Ctrl-a) and Shift-Delete (Remove permanently). Give it a couple of minutes to clean up, and you're done.
OK. Thanks. I'll try that and then use something like mailstrom to archive most of the old ones before adding the account again. Maybe that will work to only have it download the most recent ones

I installed an account and it downloaded all emails going back to 2007. Can I delete them and how can I specify a date range like say only one month
The only way to get something like a signature above the previous message's text is to edit accounts.ini (in the mail folder) and make the signature part of the reply header. That means the signature will be text-only (no HTML) but can be several lines by using character escapes (\n for newline, etc,). The file accounts.ini is just a text file (UTF-8 encoded but without BOM, if you need to include non-ASCII characters) ... other than that matter of encoding any text editor should be able to handle it. The reply header is on a line that starts "Reply=", there is a separate header for forwarded messages, and each account will have its own headers in that file. (If you want the recipient's mail client to recognize it as a signature you should start the signature with two hyphens and a space on a line by themself, that mark is what indicates the actual end of the message text.)

I don't know what is all this compatibility people taking about why I should switch to the new browser. 12X opera works for 99.99 of all websites and even if it didn't they made it easy to open in another browser.
Well,I had installed the new opera a while back and deleted it. But I did not realize that the progress bar was gone. That was indeed the first thing I noticed when I fist stumbled onto opera desktop about 8 years ago and will not use a browser without it
No problem at all, I do this myself.
They can actually even be installed in the same folder, but personally I'd recommend installing them in different folders.
There is no interaction between the two versions at all.
In fact I have programmed a toolbar button on 12.17 to open the displayed page in Opera 24 (the current developer version), so if a site malfunctions in 12.17 I can open it in the later version.
All works fine.
So how do you accomplish this, installing this button to open page in new opera?
On seeing this thread, I decided to test spotify. I am using opera 12.17 windows 8. Yes it does seem to freeze and buffer a lot, even over my cable broadband connection.
hello, I have the "logo changer"extension and I just cant figure out how to make the changes take effect. Where is the save button? I had the previous version of this extension and it worked quite well.

I fixed this problem by disabling hardware acceleration in opera:config. Not an ideal solution because you obviously want to have it on.
Another potential solution is to use this site: http://pdfmyurl.com/ to save to PDF and then print.
That did seemed to do the trick. I changed hardware acceleration from a 1 to 0 and it is printing fine so far. Obviously acceleration can cause some problems.

Thanks burnout. I can't print anything properly, all sites, email, everything. Maybe I should try to do a clean install
Well I disabled fit to paper and played around with other settings. Still the same 
All of sudden printing from opera produces a garbled mess with characters overlapping and unreadable. I have no problem with printing form any other program on laptop. Any clues anyone as to what is going on?
