and then play normally. Very annoying, just wondering if this is happening to anyone else. I have gone back to 108 and it is still there. I only have 1password installed as a extension right now. Mac Sonoma 14.4, but happens on others running 14.3, this is a recent development.

RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@cst179d Thanks, I had to update to 102.0.4880.38 but it is there now.
I guess we can get things "undone" when we speak out!

RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@jerkal1 Yeah, whatever space they thought that they were saving, we've had to use 50x that to use the bookmark bar... I never did when we had the speed-dial / home button. Now instead of a small button, I have a whole darn bar.
Opera: Again, if you don't want it on the top, allow us to add it to the side bar and pick the location..

RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@jerkal1 Yep, I did also, but normally I didn't show the bookmark bar and ti takes up space. Bring Back the Home Button!

RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@silvatop For me it is pretty much the same, other than having the book mark bar displayed (that I never used to use). If I am on a page and click the "start page link" that current page is refreshed with the speed dial. That is how I always remember it working It didn't close a tab, just loaded Speed Dial.
Personally, I would rather have be button back or be able to reorder the buttons on the left and remove blank space for unused buttons, which would get that speed dial back to the top where it should be.
Not what you want, not what I want, but something that I can live with since they don't seem inclined to fix the feature that they removed.
Cheers. -
RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@jerkal1 Thanks, I did something similar based on your post. I have tried posting it but either I am banned or my account is hosed.
Thanks!I used "startpage" which gets changed from Opera... to Chrome when it is saved.

RE: Opera changes focus when hovering over main tabOpera for Mac
@liteyear Yes! I just upgraded a few days ago and noticed that it was fixed. Now if we could get the speed dial icon back on the address bar

RE: [Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
@adamuspl The one on the side seems to open in the current window for me. It would be nice if one could rearrange the order or if you have many hidden the visible ones would join up so that the button I want is not at the very bottom of the screen.

@burnout426 It looked like the windows logo between the refresh and address field. Sorry, tried to upload a picture, i failed...as I do in life

[Done]Return the speed dial buttonSuggestions and feature requests
Return the speed dial
What the heck, did that many people ask to have this removed. Was there too little space on that massive address bar. Someone wake up and say, "here is a feature that we can just remove..." What was the thought process?

RE: Opera changes focus when hovering over main tabOpera for Mac
@crybaby123 I opened a bug.
Opera Help Center/Opera bugs & suggestions report form/BS-54340This is new to me since upgrading to M1 Mac and Ventura… and dang it is annoying. I have 5 macs, Opera only seems to do this on the M1 with ventura. It could do it on a regular mac with Ventura also, but I don’t have one. Sometimes just passing over an Opera window brings a window in the background forward….again, very annoying and Safari and Chrome don’t do this. It is only windows in Opera. Are they running in the same process and triggering each other. If Chrome is has the focus and I mouse over Opera it doesn’t make Opera come forward…only when Opera has focus and I mouse over another Opera window…very odd and not expected. Please change it back.
Attached: Chrome is active and mouse is hovering over Opera tab and everything is normal.

@dewluca I guess we are the only ones that this bugs the heck out of.

RE: Opera changes focus when hovering over main tabOpera for Mac
@davidoliver-1 I understand it updating the tab, but when just mousing around, if you just pause over the left tab it brings that window to the front. This does not happen in Chrome or Safari.

RE: Opera changes focus when hovering over main tabOpera for Mac
@rgranger I rolled back to 96.0.4693.16 and the issue is still there. Will try going back further. I don't remember this when I first upgraded to Ventura.

Opera changes focus when hovering over main tabOpera for Mac
OSX 13.2.1 (does not seem to do it on my Monterey Macs, only M1 on Ventura)
Opera 97.0.4719.17
It is really annoying to have windows just pop to the foreground without clicking on anything.
So two Opera windows , if I have #1 in front and then move the mouse and hover for a moment on on the left most tab of Window #2 behind it activates and brings it forward.
Is his a known issue or an advanced, undocumented feature?
Thanks
Rob
