I'm a long time user of opera browser and I have seen what its ad blocker can do (it's not even 50% effective at blocking ads) so i'm suggesting

Hi recently I updated opera to v79.1.4195.76422. Now I realized that opera ad blocking not work properly or in simpler way I want to say that opera ad blocker is not as effective as other browser's. Can you please replace this built in ad blocker with something that can load custom filter lists? If no, then I would have to say goodbye to opera.
@leocg at least you can make your adblocker accept custom filter lists. That way he can add list for "I don't care about cookies".
The same can be done in Vivaldi mobile browser. I don't know why opera is hell bent on being stubborn, not listening to their users.
Recently I started using dns over https. Used various doh servers. One thing I noticed is built in DoH work flawlessly but custom DoH does not work like that. (30% of time it works, 70% of time dns address is rejected.) Could not understand what is the issue because it happens only with custom DoH addresses and not with built in addresses.
I wanted to use dns over https in opera browser so that I could block ads which opera's dumb adblocker does not block.
Every custom DoH address is rejected by opera (I've tried adguard, nextdns, control d and many more.) but cloudflare and Google doh work flawlessly. Why? Just because they are built in?
No custom link working shows that problem is at opera browser, not the network.
@leocg can you give explanation of this weird behavior?
It is possible for opera native downloader to categorize downloads into video, image, compressed, documents and others in separate folders under a single master folder like OperaDownloads as available in some external download managers. If possible, i'm requesting it.
In opera android, i'm using dns over https and it's custom dns. Up until yesterday it was working good, but from today morning custom link is not working. Every DoH link I give, opera is rejecting it and link becomes red and internet does not connect.
And for the people who want to blame me for this problem, i've tried several DoH but none works. Only DoH that work is the google and cloudflare that is hardcoded in opera. So I know the problem is in opera itself.

I know that opera uses easylist as adblocker list. It is not sufficient to block all ads. It let some ads to pass through and it does not block site redirects altogether. In that sense the opera's adblocker is doing nothing and useless.
In order to make opera adblocking effective, it needs more filter lists to block ads and trackers. So I'm requesting you to add the option to manually add filter lists. If you want to see what I'm saying, this feature is included in vivaldi browser.(you can take inspiration from vivaldi).
If this feature is not added within one month, I will shift to vivaldi as my main browser.

.....which is a Chinese holding company, hence they are legally required to share whatever data the Chinese government would like. And the Opera User Agreement indicates that when you accept it, you agree to having Opera collect and share a lot of data with "partners".
When I checked opera mobile browser on exodus privacy website, it says that opera contains 9 trackers included in app itself while vivaldi and brave contains 0 trackers. Can opera employees explain

I like how Firefox mobile and Vivaldi mobile have external download manager support. I would like to have same feature in opera also.

@leocg Thank you for your help. You are right, the data saving feature is causing google captcha. But i have one question, i'm using opera for past 3.5 years but this problem is only recent like 3-4 months. All this time (3 years) i was using data saver but it did not provoke captcha, then why now? Again thanks for help.
@leocg yes, data saving is enabled but if this feature is causing the issue what's the use of data saving feature then?
Every time I open opera android app and search a query on google i am greeted with Google captcha. Initially i was solving it to pass but now it comes every time I open opera browser. I was thinking that may be it is Google's issue but after testing this on chrome, firefox, duckduckgo, brave and uc browser i have come to a conclusion that this issue only happens with opera browser. This problem forced me to consider other browser as my main. Can you please explain why this issue is perticularly with opera browser and how to fix this.
FYI i'm not using VPN or private tab, it's just regular tab still the issue occurs. Android version 10 , opera version 70.3.3606.
