I've always wanted this behavior as well. There should definitely be at least two kinds of pinned tabs - one that doesn't leave the domain and one that doesn't leave the URL.

@georgic556: You are doing it wrong. You have to let it do its thing for a few hours once, and then it works all right. Don't close and disable, just let it do its thing.

Blue? I don't have that issue on Windows. However the dark mode still has it's issues. It's OK at normal to high brightness under proper lighting, but take it into the dark with low brightness and it's really hard to see what tab is active :|

I've noticed that my Android and Windows Operas were not syncing, so I tried to log in in the Windows application and it started freezing again forcing me to go through the downgrade procedure again. Waiting for Opera 68.

I came here from Google search. Yeah, it's so annoying I had to google it again to see if there is not some solution to this problem. I mean what's the big deal - I don't care if that much if the active tab will be yellow or pink, just make it clearly visible please.

Be patient, it can take several hours, or even overnight.

Tab Counter Badges on the top of sidebar icons as well as counts in the textual descriptions of the workspaces (when hoovering over the icons and when displaying the "move to workspace" list) would be incredibly helpful when it comes to workspace workflow management.

Any updates to this? Is there a way to toggle between on / off for VPN without going into settings?

It would be nice to have more, although it would be mentally taxing for most people. Five categories in a given context is pretty much the capacity of human mind.
