ref: bottom speed dial navigation possibly affecting vertical scroll bar usage when browsing your speed dial.
Recently my Opera Updated to v27.0.1689.54. I noticed some navigational features had been moved from the top of the screen to the bottom, where they now overlay the speed dial. My speed dial also consists mostly of grouped thumbnails starting from the top.
I tried scrolling through my speed dial from top to bottom using the LMB but unfortunately this wasn't happening; the scroll bar was locked at the top. However, the MMB worked fine so I used that. I also noticed that if you manage to scroll down a little, you then re-gain control the ability to scroll up and down using the LMB method. But the moment the scroll bar returns to the top of the screen it stays there and won't budge, forcing you to use the MMB option. Scrolling through web pages is unaffected by this issue.
I later read l33t4opera's post above on restoring top bar navigation:
"l33t4opera: Hi @webcm, you can disable it (restore top bar): go to the address bar, and type opera:flags#webui-navigation-bar, press enter, select "Disabled" from the drop-down, and restart the Opera ;-"
I tried this, restarted Opera and it not only restored the to bar but also worked around the bottom bar issue.. I can now use both the LMB and MMB to scroll through the speed dial as before.
I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has the same issue and wants a possible workaround before any updates. Hope this helps
