The binary /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera is installed, so you can actually open Opera v124. But it opens without an application id. This means it does not open with the Opera icon but with the generic one. Grouping different Opera windows consequently fails as well. In my case (I'm using Linux Mint) Opera was installed in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-stable. To be more exact, it was moved there by installation process. The old "opera" still remained empty except the "lib_extra" folder, that I created for libffmpeg.so. Moving it to new location solved the problem with video playing.
Another thing I fixed, was creating of opera-stable-symlink in bin directory pointing to opera executable in new location.
There is no troubles with Opera icons in my case.

@cybrsaylr This is not a internet URL. Libffmeg.so is a library (DLL) that works like encoder. You can find a lot information about it in some threads of this topic concerning video problems. You need to download it and put it in your system.

@cybrsaylr You must check for libffmeg.so. I noticed the same behavior on Linux Mint. Update finished with error, but Opera updated to a new version, and videos stopped playing. The reason was in the installation path of Opera. It has been changed from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera to /....../opera-stable. That's way libffmpeg.so file stayed in old location. I moved it to a new setup path and the problem gone.

You can search for libffmpeg.so on this forum. This is not a distro problem.

@lokiby Уже не раз это обсуждалось. Скачивать надо не напрямую с сайта Opera, а с ftp.opera.com. Выбираете нужную версию. Там уже есть другие поисковики. Дальше уже, используя ранее опубликованные инструкции, меняете поиск и в Speed Dial.

@iTetsuryu На самом деле большинство проблем от того, что скачивают установщик напрямую с сайта Оперы. Если скачать нужную версию с ftp.opera.com, то инструкция работает вполне себе нормально, без особых танцев. Даже не надо ставить ридонли на конфиг.

@lixbeto I have the same bug.
I installed some certificates before (nearly a year ago), and now I can't manage them. The page - opera://settings/certificates is empty.
Meanwhile, these certificates are still working.
P.S. Opera version 114.0.5282.222, Linux Mint 22.

I've just updated Opera to latest 109.0.5097.38 version and noticed a strange thing. When I start typing in Speed Dial search box it changes the resolution. Text looks blurred. If I leave this box and click in an empty place of Speed Dial, the view returns to normal style, the typed text looks clear. There was no such behavior on previous version 109.0.5097.35.
This happens in Linux version, too. I checked this on different devices.

Извините, что вклиниваюсь. Видимо, у вас других дел нет, как париться и закатывать истерики из-за конвертика в Speed Dial.
Если мне не изменяет память, то это уже давно реализовано. Вроде на Хэллоуин тыква была.

Насколько помню, такой опции в Опере не было никогда. Закрытие последней вкладки приводит к отображению Speed Dial.

Так пароли хранятся в зашифрованном виде. Ключ шифрования завязан на старую ОС. Когда вы переустановили систему, все поменялось. И этот файл уже не расшифровать. Надо было синхронизировать пароли через учетную запись.
