I think Aria works normally, or do you get that answer for every question you ask?
Otherwise, I would think that your desired translation contains some keywords that Aria considers "critical": e.g.
"intellectually and morally inferior." Here Aria arguably classified the phrase as dismissive, and refuses to translate as referring to the "terms uf use."
You might be better served with a translation program like "Deepl" or similar.

Applications are somehow "neutered" by Apple because they contain features or settings that Apple doesn't like for sometimes incomprehensible reasons. That's why you'll often find the "original" applications in addition to the App Store applications on the developers' pages. Then it's up to you to decide which version you prefer...

That's right. Opera (for desktop) was never released on the App Store. App Store versions of well-known software are often not exactly identical to the original versions. This is because of Apple's often criticized restrictions. So the Opera team probably decided against offering Opera on the App Store. So there are some advantages to downloading software directly from the "vendor". If it is notarized/certified, the installation on macOS is not a problem.

Built-in ad and tracking blockers do not seem to fulfill what they promise. I don't use them. With an external ad and tracking blocker (Adguard for Mac in my case), Opera passes these tests without any problems.

It seems that this extension is outdated. I did install it once at the time, but now it's turned off and I can still (as @leocg writes) load extensions directly from the Chrome Web Store. On the overview it says if it is compatible with your device and when you install it you get a warning message that the extension is not from Opera addons. It will probably be the case (as it used to be) that Chrome extensions under Opera may not offer all features.

Both Safari and a terminal command indicate that Quad9 is active as a DNS server. Only Opera refuses. This is exactly the purpose of this button: With it you can control which extensions you want to have displayed there. If you pin an extension, it always stays in the menubar, if not, it disappears again when you restart Opera (you have to reposition it).

How about download the latest Opera for your system from the Opera homepage and install it?

@yunhi Something seems to be going wrong with your system. I also have "Adguard for Mac" running (system-wide) and it works fine with the latest Opera.

If it were a pure Opera problem, most people would probably have the same problem you mentioned. But it doesn't seem so, otherwise your thread would probably "overflow”.
I don't doubt that you have a problem with Opera, but as I said before, it's probably not just Opera. Unfortunately I can't help you, because I can't reproduce your problem. It is not said that all extensions "work" identically in all browsers. The substructure might not be the same. For example, extensions from the Chrome Web store under Opera sometimes have limited functionality. This is also mentioned by Opera when you load an extension for Opera which is actually intended for Chrome.
By the way: Do you still have this bug with the latest Opera version 72.0.3815.200?

Please don't conclude from your problem to all Opera users: Here Opera (latest version) runs without problems, fast and smoothly. I don't think that Opera alone is the problem...

Simply open a desired page, copy the address, click on "+ Add..." on the speed dial page and paste the copied page. Done.

I strongly assume that "home page" means "speed dial". Probably you deactivated it yesterday by mistake. You can enable speed dial again in the settings. You might have to put them together again.

Here no problem to open your linked page. The graphics are visible and the map is zoomable. No pop-up window.
