There needs to be a message stating that your browser crashed and all plugins have been disabled.

Afaik plugins are not disabled, only extensions. And there used to be a warning about it.

I spent ages trying to fix a flash problem and it was because it was disabled.

As i said, i don't think it was disabled due to a crash.

Also note if you disable the plugin it keeps asking you install flash.

It's because the plugin canĂ½ be detected if it isn't enabled.

The information of version which plugin you have and which version should still be possible to be retrieved even if the plugin is disabled. I don't if the problem is with the flash installer or the browser?

The problem is with the web. If you don't have Flash enabled then a page that uses it will ask you to install the flash player.
