I just installed Opera Mail. I am having troubles sending emails with attachment to Gmail. I saw that Opera Mail can log outgoing mail events but when I opened the accounts.ini file, there was no "Outgoing Log File=" text.
- I added "Outgoing Log File=C:\outgoing-log.txt" to the bottom of the [ACCOUNT3] section but it did not make a log file.
- I added it under the [ACCOUNTS] section and it did not create a log file.
I did both changes while Opera Mail was off/closed/not running.
How do you add a log file to capture errors???
BTW...the instructions on the web indicate you can locate the file via the help but that is wrong. I located it by chasing down the .exe and searching around.
Background ... I used to use Thunderbird. After a Windows 10 large update (not the initial install), I cannot send emails with attachments to gmail(on any of three accounts). Thunderbird generated an error message indicating it was a timeout problem. I suspect the same here.
I installed Opera Mail hoping to solve the problem but no happiness
