Yes, I'm very surprised this isn't available already. It's really the perfect place for it. The few Spotify extensions available for opera are not very good and leaves a lot to be desired. Really hope sidebar Spotify will become a real thing!

This is the feature I use opera for, Opera and Safari are the only browsers with a feature like this, and it's so good. Now that even the stable version of Opera has removed it... I don't know what to do, I'll probably switch to Safari until it's back (seems it's coming back in "a future version"). It really sucks that it's gone, I've seen many threads here and other places where people really want it back.

Does anyone know of an extension for Opera or Firefox (or chrome, if it works with operas chrome extension support) that has the same, or very similar feature? Or something like "only show bookmarks bar when address bar is clicked".

Should set up a vote so we can make sure it's brought back quickly.

Please bring it back. Opera is the only browser that has this feature (from what I've seen at least). It's so much better than having a permanent bookmarks bar that takes up horizontal space.

Or if anything make it so it would be possible to make an extension. It so useful, looks great and is just a perfect feature IMO.

Any ETA on when it might come back? It's only this and another thing that keeps me from using Opera as my main browser (the other being native PiP on MacOS, which is possible with Safari, Chrome and Firefox, haven't found a chrome one that works with the "Install Chrome Extensions" extension.

@leocg wow, it's a feature I really liked, Opera being the only browser except for safari to feature such a thing. And I haven't found anything similar as an addon. This sucks...

I've used Opera beta for a few months and the Quick Access Pane has been available. I re-formated my computer and have no installed Opera beta again, but there is no option for Quick Access Pane. I've tried restarting Opera, my computer and searching in opera:flags, but it's not available anywhere.

What might be the problem?

An option to have the sidebar on the right side would is something I'm very surprised isn't already a feature. It wouldn't require much work to do, and makes morse sense in my opinion. Many websites use a sidebar navigation and when you have any of the messaging apps open it covers that navigation.
It would be the exact same sidebar, nothing else changed but the side of the browser window that it resides in.

Seen MANY people request this, but there is no open suggestion/feature request thread about it and I think we should keep this going, show the opera team it's something a lot of people want.
