I understand the idea, but still a bit disappointed. Having three different, desktop usage oriented Opera browsers on my PC has become useful as I could easily have separate browsers with the great Opera experience for normal use, work, and social media stuff. Now one of these is going away, so for that browser I must look into another option. Probably Vivaldi or Brave.

Opera does the same on my Windows 10 Pro 64bit too. Instant crash of Opera, when I connect to my computer via Remote Desktop.

RE: Updated to 43, can no longer "continue anyway" on bad certsOpera for Windows
Yep, I could fix 2 of the 4 services I use daily by just generating new key - the previous had expired. As these are services that are being used both by local LAN IP and by a DNS name, I think the certificate can't ever be 100% correct for both use cases?

RE: Updated to 43, can no longer "continue anyway" on bad certsOpera for Windows
I spoke with an opera rep on Twitter and the response was essentially "Okay, well, we've decided to keep it this way." Very unfortunate.
Looks like that will be the final straw. Testing Vivaldi now.

This also happened to me. I also work in test enviroments and in local LAN where self-signed certificates are almost extensively used.
Looks like Opera has just shot itself to the knee, because it is impossible for me to get any work done after this change. I had to install Firefox for the first time in ten years.

Tab bar alignment wrong on tablet modeOpera for Android
-
buttons on the left edge of a tab? This is counterintuitive and different from every a browser on PC. Tablet mode should look as much like on PC. Now it just looks wrong and cumbersome.

A bug. Nexus 5, portrait orientation, tablet mode.
1 Open a new site from home. Open a bunch of links (link1, link2, link3) from it into background tabs.
2 Close the site. Now active tab is link1 as it should be.
3 BUG: link2 tab right edge has oriented to the right of tab bar, which makes link1 tab NOT fully visible, and its close tab button is hidden from view. User must now scroll the tab bar to get it visible and to close the tab.
UI testers???

RE: [Solved]Speed dial in new tab – how? [Opera 41]Opera for Android
Also, opening this new tab from the home button opens that new tab as the leftmost tab on the tab bar. This is counterintuitive and exactly the opposite of the behavior of every other browser. Completely mindboggling...

RE: [Solved]Speed dial in new tab – how? [Opera 41]Opera for Android
This change is most frustrating ever. I know there is a home button for it now, but having both of them there wastes precious horizontal space on tablet layout when using a phone. Plus it forces to learn new behaviour. Why couldn't there be the + -icon for a new tab&speed dial and a Search icon, if there indeed must be two separate buttons?
I changed to Chrome, at least it works how its supposed to.

RE: Opera 18 for AndroidOpera for Android
I don't have any adblocker installed.
Played around with Titanium Backup. Clearing app data -> Opera works again. Restoring app data -> it crashes (just quits) right after ANY ui stuff is done. Even opening the menu with the red O will cause a hang&quit.
So, the latest opera 18 will corrupt your profile, beware!
I'm not too happy about this, as there is no way to sync speed dials (=bookmarks), this will cause quite a few hours of time to get right

RE: Opera 18 for AndroidOpera for Android
After the latest update, Opera has started to crash immediately upon clicking a speed dial.
This is on Galaxy S2.
