Thank you.
Server name completion is totally broken in Opera 12.16. It never worked when I wanted it to (because then everything is treated as a search), but in this special case when I did not expect it.

You need to specify a search engine for the search. You cannot simply search any document.
For example
"C:\Program Files\Search\Search.exe /file:C:\MyDocuments\doc1.txt /search:%s"
could do, if you have that program (Search.exe) and it uses the two parameters (/file: and /search:). You also might to be able to open the document in Opera and use the internal search (Ctrl+F or .) to look for your search string. You probably could customize Opera 12- to have a local search bar/button or shortcut for the given file, but I doubt you can do it with Opium.
Opera (12.16) changes the URL given in an unwanted manner. For example I want to open a local website on http://server/documents/index.php but instead http://server.de/documents/index.php is opened. How can I change this behaviour?
There might be a low chance to detect multiple Opera installations on one computer, but this has its own problems. What is more, if you can identify that a single person is using Presto as well as Blink Opera, how do you count it for the statistics?
Update-checking also isn't the true answer.
For example, I use a copy of Opera on my desktop at home as well as a copy of Opera on my notebook. I also have Opera Mobile on my phone. I have a copy of Opera on the Wii (which certainly does not get any updates) and I bought one for the old DS (but sold it with the console some time ago). I run a copy of Opera at work and I do have a portable installation on a USB stick. So how many users am I? How many users is Pesala? How many users are you?
Opium still uses browser.js? Wasn't the purpose of it to "hack" site compatibility with Presto and the purpose of the switch to Blink to have this site compatibility out of the box and therefor save the hassle of having (to maintain) a browser.js?
To be honest, neither numbers sum up to me. Why is a Skyfire user an Opera mobile browser user?
Plus I barely know anyone using something else than the stock browser if he or she doesn't know about Opera desktop browser in the first place. While certainly not every Opera Mini user also uses Opera on desktop, I am quite positive there are Opera desktop users not using Opera Mini as well. My assumption would be, there is a more or less equal number of Opera users on mobile and desktop.
Going from the number of the presentation, which is marked "unaudited" and a Opera market share of 2%, that would mean 2.5 billion people. If under these conditions the number of 330 million is true, that would mean a market share of 13.2%, which undoubtly it a bit too high to be real.
Just thinking.

Uhm ...
from German Wikipedia
Laut Opera ist der Opera Mini der „weltweit beliebteste Browser mit über 30 Millionen Benutzern“.
Opera Mobile wurden nach Angaben von Opera seit 2004 auf über 125 Millionen Geräten installiert.
30 million Opera Mini users, 125 million Opera Mobile installations according to Opera. Only 51 million desktop users of Opera can't be correct.
The interesting thing is: of the approximately 330 million Opera users about 300 million still use Opera 12.
Very interesting indeed.

At least some of them. As approximatly 5 billion people on earth don't know that Opera exists. Give or take one billion. -.-
Funny enough, a lot of users have occured problems with Offroad Mode in Opium. Going by the pattern of Fit-To-Width, Offroad Mode should be removed.

Why don't you ask some Linux users? Also, it should more read like Opera 0.x, 0.x, 0.x, 0.x, 0.x and 0.499 maybe as progress is slow and basic features are still missing for sure.
