@eobelgin The advice I was given was to ensure that the version of OS was minimum 12 or above. I'm running Ventura (13). The whole of this thread is basically all of the steps that were taken to resolve this - but I did eventually get an email from Opera support admitting that there has been an issue at their end, so my settings - and actions weren't at fault.
Probably best to submit a support ticket with them to send them your settings and let them ascertain where the fault lies and let them know this is a wider issue. All the best

RE: Free VPN temporarily unavailable on all mac devicesOpera for Mac
Hi all, VPN Pro now fully working on my Macbook. I haven't made any changes, except log off from Opera account, Quit VPN Pro - and then open the free standard VPN. Then, from here, logged back into Opera and opened up VPN Pro..

@wishmylove exactly same here. I'm still waiting on response from Opera support but can keep you posted...

RE: Free VPN temporarily unavailable on all mac devicesOpera for Mac
@inputsignwave I'm wondering if this is a similar issue to the one with Pro. I have no issue running standard free VPN, but just need to quit the Pro app from the menu bar first and log out of my Opera account

@wishmylove Yes, this is the same message I received. May I ask, is the issue with standard VPN, or VPN Pro?

RE: Free VPN temporarily unavailable on all mac devicesOpera for Mac
@leocg apologies if this is an incorrect thread - no one has stipulated which version, free or pro. I should have really asked the OP!

@AsusS5606 I have a support email for Opera, but best to get a support ticket logged with them first imo. They do pick them up and respond usually within a working day

@leocg I do have a general VPN Pro support email address from Opera, however I think the proper channel is to log a support ticket first. Then at least this is logged in their database etc

Just to add here, pls feel free to contact Opera support also - or log a support ticket with them. I think the more users notifying them may at least let them know it's far from an isolated issue. Cheers

RE: Free VPN temporarily unavailable on all mac devicesOpera for Mac
@inputsignwave According to tech support, received this am, got this response:
Based on the number of reports we've received recently, there's an ongoing issue at the moment. We're actively exploring all the potential causes, but we don't have specifics yet to share..
Issue has been escalated at their end according to the msg -
RE: Free VPN temporarily unavailable on all mac devicesOpera for Mac
@inputsignwave I've got the same issue with my Macbook. Running Ventura now (was Monterey, but Monterey worked fine).
Error message highlights a password issue, and I am unable to fully reinstall VPN Pro. Message that has frequently come up is: No VPN credentials available. Please login to Opera SyncThey have already asked me to go to this Opera URL:
opera://opera-diagnostics
and click 'update' in the first column. Not sure if this does anything positive...Am currently dealing with Opera tech support Norway to see if there's something further they can assist with. I can always update this if I have further info.
Hope this helps

[Duplicated]VPN Pro Macbook stopped workingOpera for Mac
Hi all, my VPN Pro stopped working mysteriously 4 days ago. Working perfectly before. Submitted support ticket, which suggested I remove then reinstall the VPN Pro client. Did that.
Opera version up to date and nothing blocked by a firewall or AV.
Message shown repeatedly is 'No VPN credentials available. Please login to Opera Sync'. I'm at a loss as to understand why this service has suddenly stopped like this with zero changes at my end. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.. TIA
