Both RTX Video HDR and RTX Video Super Resolution (see link for reference and description: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5448/~/rtx-video-faq) stopped working after Opera updating to version 110.0.5130.39 - I know that Opera browser is technically not supported to have this featured functional, but until that update both features were working without any problem. Is it possible to restore both functionalities to Opera, since they were already earlier working without any problems and fix what the newer update broke?
I observed that both feature do not cooperate with the Lucid Mode, so I just had Lucid Mode turned off and both RTX Video HDR and RTX Video Super Resolution were working just fine until that update. Now I have Opera version 110.0.5130.49 and both Nvidia features are still not working as previously.
Today (28.05.2024), on Opera version 110.0.5130.49, I have also observed, that when I watch an video on YouTube the features are only working, when I play a video in the “picture in picture“ mode, so it is somehow still being detected by the Nvidia features, but just not in the right way…

Is there a fix so that both Nvidia features can be properly enjoyed once more, since they were already working fine ?

Hi, I am using Opera GX [LVL 5 (core: 109.0.5097.108)] on Windows 10 and I have this issue, that every time I right click from task bar to open a private window, it won't load and freezes till i forced quit, but when I open Opera GX (regular window/card) first and create a new private window after that, it works without any problems.
I was able to locate, what at least I think is, the reason to it - mainly if I go to Setting -> Advanced synchronization settings and disable there the synchronization of the settings, I am able to initially start Opera GX in private mode without any problems.
Is there a known fix to it? Is there some corrupted setting, which cause Opera GX to fail to start in private mode?
Do I simply have to change one particular setting, which synchronization is creating this error?
I would like to keep my settings synchronization turned on... How can it be fixed ?

So, for quite a long time I have this problem:
when I open a video (for example on youtube) I can see on the player, that the volumen is set to 100%, but when I open the video in an opera's popout window, I can notice that the volume in this popout window is surprisingly set to, for example, 50%. So I set it also to 100%. The problem is, that this volume very rarely matches the volume in the player. What is more, the volume in the popout window resets itself to 50% every time when I refresh the page (the volume in website's player is all the time set to 100%). It happen constantly on various websites, as well as various youtube's videos.

Example - the website's player is set to 100%, but when I open the popup window I can see, that it is there set only to about 50%. After adjusting it to 100% and refreshing the page, it goes buck to 50% in the popup player, but the website's player is showing 100% all the time.

What is more surprising, from time to time, I come upon a video which has its volume set to 100% in the player, as well as in the popup video. As far as I have noticed, the base value in the popup window can change from around 20% to 100% from one video to another. I have no idea what it depends on, that this base value changes from one video to another, and varies so much.
I also noticed, that if I set volume to 100% in the popup video, and than try to adjust volume in the website's player, the volume in the popup window resets itself to the base value (for example 50%).

So my question is, whether is it possible, to set the volume in the popup window to 100% once and for all and not to have it adjust each and every single time when changing a video.

Please share your wisdom and help me, because I have been looking for a solution far and wide, but alas, I have found nothing, and this magic automatic volume adjustment is really driving me crazy...

@burnout426 Currently, I managed to move to Opera GX and I plan to stay there for a while, or at least, until some next update breaks something crucial here, but if I am ever in need of moving back to Opera One, I will surly experiment with that, provided that the current faults remain present, or some new emerge in the course of time...

@leocg I installed Opera GX and it is not having such a problem there. Is it a common issue?
Is someone also facing this problem only with regular Opera (Opera One) ?

@burnout426 I have tested disabling just syncing of settings - when I turn that particular one off, without changing anything else, it starts without any problems. Overall, interesting idea, but one does need specific skills to read log files, which I personally do not posses.

I agree with you both - this problem is present for quite a few months and no fix is to be seen...
Unfortunately, there are two options - one, there is some particular corrupted setting, which cause Opera to fail to start in private mode, or two, the synchronization itself is corrupted.
In the first case, simply changing one setting would be sufficient to fix it (but which one is creating this synchronization error?) and in the second case, disabling the synchronization is the only option for now (and let's be hones, how often do you change your Opera setting? - I personally set everything as I desire and stay with it, but I understand that some may not be as steady with it as I am).

@burnout426 I am not entirely sure which exact build number caused the features to stop working (I do not check everyday if there was an update), but the facts are, that earlier both features were working without any problems - I have not changed anything on my end - the only change was that, the Opera One updated itself one day, which I noticed by the missing features (I think I have also received this welcoming page, which opens automatically after an update, when starting Opera)
Now I switched to Opera GX and both features are working there just fine, and I have synchronized the Opera GX using Opera account and I have there the exact same extensions as well as setting as I had previously in Opera One, so all is pointing to that, that the issue is located somewhere in one of the newer version of Opera One.

So it turns out, that currently Opera One is simply broken in therms of those Nvidia features and even a re-installation, nor reset, can fix that...
All that is left, untill the Developers fix that, is to switch to Opera GX (both features work there for me) or some other functioning browser
